Job Description:

Working within the Solutions Division, the Systems Analyst oversees development and provides support to the various in-house Oracle and non-Oracle based solutions and technology offerings, including Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Enterprise Performance Management Systems, Hyperion Planning and Analytical systems, Predictive and Big Data Systems, Data Mining and Visualization systems.

  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Designs new computer programs by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
  • Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
  • Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing  project budget.
  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
  • Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users.
  • Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Prepares functional and techno-functional reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Work with functional Team members to develop technical designs and technical details for guiding the team of onsite and offshore developers.
  • Analyzes data input/output requirements of several company developed systems solutions to provide guidance to the development team, generate integration and interface plans and data maps.
  • Provides expertise in design, code, test, deploy and support application programs in Oracle technologies, including SQL, PLSQL, Oracle Workflow, Forms, Reports, Application Framework, BPEL, OBIEE, Data Visualization, Hyperion, Essbase and ADF and non-Oracle technologies including Tableau, Microstrategy, SalesForce and Open Sources.
  • Structures general design requirements into an application system, defining information flow, program functions, and data requirements
  • Leads the development of test plans and scripts to validate system functionality and business rules/requirements.
  • Ensures test scripts meet required standards and expected criteria. Executes test scripts based on the test plan and script.
  •  Documents test results. Analyzes and summarizes test results and provides direction to management to determine whether additional system modifications are required.
  • Supports compliance standards for required approvals of test results, migration practices, and implementation schedules.
  • Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
